Great Prairie Area Education Agency (GPAEA) is proud to announce the winners of this year’s Battle of the Books competition, held on May 8, 2024, in Fairfield, Iowa. The event featured an exciting day of literary challenges and enthusiastic participation from middle and elementary school teams across the region. Renowned speaker, workshop presenter, and edu-tainer Will Stuck hosted the event, bringing his unique blend of education and entertainment to the competition.
Elementary Winners:
- 1st Place: North Mahaska Warbooks
- 2nd Place: Centerville Nacho Ordinary Readers
- 3rd Place: Oskaloosa I Read Past My Bedtime
Middle School Winners:
- 1st Place: Fairfield Middle School Bookworms
- 2nd Place: Centerville Red Reader
- 3rd Place: Central Lee Hawks Team One
The Great Prairie AEA extends heartfelt thanks to all the students, teachers, and school districts that participated in this year’s event. Your dedication and enthusiasm made the competition a resounding success.
