Copyright BriefNotes
It’s easy to copy a DVD or music file, scan an image, transfer digital files, photocopy, stream video, etc. Sometimes it works better to substitute the word “use” for “copy.” How do you know if the use is legal? How much is too much? What are your rights and responsibilities as a user of information? This is an overview of copyright for students and PreK-12 educators.

Van Delivery
2024-2025 Van Delivery Schedule
Delivering a wide variety of materials, all available at no charge for educators to use, once a week to every school.
Cancelation of delivery due to weather or road conditions is never convenient, but occasionally, it happens. If weather conditions prevent the GPAEA van from arriving as scheduled, attempts will be made to deliver materials on an alternate day. Routes are canceled when half or more of the stops on that route have called off school or if road conditions jeopardize the safety of our van driver. When this occurs, we will attempt to notify affected schools that there will be no delivery that day.
Dissemination of Information & Materials For External Organizations
Great Prairie AEA has guidelines for disseminating materials from external organizations, whether via our van delivery service or via electronic means. Click here to view the Guidelines.
Media Policies
GPAEA recognizes the contrasting needs of those receiving our library services. Therefore, we offer a comprehensive collection of resources for a diverse population of students, educators, and professionals. GPAEA will follow board policy when selecting and maintaining media materials available for loan.
